Library Next Steps In spring 2011, the recommendations of the Task Force were approved by the Mecklenburg County Board of County Commissioners along with the Library Board of Trustees. Funding for fiscal year 2012 was approved which allowed the Library to implement the Task Force’s recommendation to expand hours at six regional locations. Click here for Library locations and hours. The Library will be use the report of the Task Force as its strategic plan until the creation of a new Library strategic plan in 2013. The Library is the managing partner, who delivers services, and the County is the funding partner, who provides the funding for those services.
