Mecklenburg County Criminal Justice Services


Criminal Justice Services (CJS) is responsible for promoting improvements in the criminal justice system through interagency cooperation, coordination, and planning. It was formed in 2010 by the Mecklenburg County Manager's Office in response to findings from a Justice & Public Safety Task Force.

Mission:
We lead data-driven decision-making, effective programming, and interagency collaboration to reduce criminal justice involvement and strengthen the well-being of our community.

The primary responsibilities of CJS include:

  • Promoting collaboration between city, county, and state criminal justice agencies
  • Establishing and measuring criminal justice performance measures
  • Managing criminal justice programs and services
  • Developing initiatives that enhance systemic performance and heighten public safety

NC DPS is now accepting Request for Proposals for Level II JCPC-Endorsed Dispositional Alternatives and JCPC Alternatives to Commitment programming. Below are the two RFPs and the Level II Data Book. For additional information, please visit the NC DPS website.

Level II Dispositional Alternative Projects Request for Proposals (Request for Proposal)
The funding period for this RFP is for July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018, and is contingent upon the availability of funds. All RFP applications/required materials must be submitted per RFP instructions by 11:59 p.m. on June 7, 2017.
