Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management has been notified by federal regulatory agencies that a contaminated product has been identified within the Bed Bath and Beyond (national) retail stores.
 
The item, a Dual Ridge Metal boutique tissue holder (see photo at right), contains a material which emits low levels of radiation The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has stated the material is believed to be in the tissue holder itself and cannot be inhaled, nor can it contaminate other objects (such as tissues). Customers who have purchased this product should bring it to their nearest Bed Bath & Beyond store for a full refund.
