Join the Fit City Challenge

heart walk photoThe Fit City Challenge is a community-based initiative to encourage and empower participants to increase their levels of physical activity and fruit and vegetable consumption.

At the core of the Fit City Challenge are the parallel goals of walking a minimum of 5 miles per week or the equivalent, and eating a minimum of 5 fruits and vegetables each day. Participants can record their activities on the fitness log and track their progress through a dynamic and interactive web site:

Exercise and fruit and vegetable consumption are recognized as essential elements of any successful healthy weight program and the most effective means of lowering risk for obesity, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension and certain types of cancer. Many worksites use this program to reward employees for engaging in healthy behaviors. We can customize the “challenge” to meet your company’s specific needs.
