Adult Protective Social Workers provides protective services to disabled adults 18 years or older who are alleged to be abused, neglected or exploited and in need of protection. Debi Lee, Lead Regional Ombudsman, Centralina Area Agency on Aging. Ombudsmen are advocates available to help long term care residents and their families by advocating to protect their health, safety, welfare and rights.
