Business Recycling in Mecklenburg County

​Program News​


Mecklenburg County Solid Waste is hosting a Hazardous Waste Collection Event for businesses that qualify as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (or CESQG) under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act  ( 40 CFR §261.5). To qualify as a CESQG, a business must generate less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste and less than 2.2 pounds of acute hazardous waste each month.

The CESQG Hazardous Waste Collection event will take place Wednesday, July 19, 2017. This one-day collection event will be managed by ECOFLO, Inc., a licensed hazardous waste processing company in North Carolina. There is a $75 handling fee for all materials, plus disposal fees. All transactions will be handled by ECOFLO, Inc. This event is by appointment only. For more information, please click the following link​.

Business Recycling Laws
