Household Construction & Demolition Debris and Bulky Waste: (Residents)
We do not accept mixed loads.Prior to visiting a facility please separate yard waste, construction/demolition debris, and bulky trash.Mecklenburg County accepts, for a fee, residents' wood waste (framing timbers, pallets, crates, spools, sheathing, treated lumber/decking); *inert materials ( brick asphalt pavement, mortar, rock, gravel); plastic (pipe, buckets, wrap); and other (shingles**, fiberglass bath fixtures, tile, ceramic, carpet, padding).
*Drywall and concrete are accepted at the Foxhole Landfill only.
**If shingles are brought in on a trailer less than 12 feet, they can make up no more than 50% of the materials being disposed of. If the shingles are more than 50% of the load, they must be taken to the Foxhole Landfill.Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Disposal: (Residents Only)Mecklenburg County will help residents safely dispose of their household hazardous waste (HHW). Most
HHW may be taken to the
North Mecklenburg Recycling Center, Hickory Grove Recycling Center, West Mecklenburg Recycling Center, and Foxhole Recycling Center where it is collected by a licensed HHW Contractor.
