Holiday Closing​​​​​​

​Compost Central & Recycling Center, located at: 140 Valleydale Road, Charlotte, NC 28214 will be open on Monday, May 29, 2017.


​All other facilities and offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.​

Bring your recyclables to one of our conveniently located recycling centers and we'll take it from there. To find out what items can be recycled, simply click on one of the links below.



All Recycling Centers Accept:
Office paper, cardboard, magazines, newspapers , phonebooks, empty aerosol cans, milk and juice cartons, aluminum cans, steel cans, tin cans, glass bottles and plastics (except #6).

Full Service Centers accept a wider variety of recyclables. Click on the Recycling Center Link to view the specific items collected at that location.

Recycle your cell phones with the Mecklenburg County Women's Commission, 700 North Tryon Street, call 704-336-3210 for the Domestic Violence Program.
