The Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office Explorer Post #224 and the Fraternal Order Of Police, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Lodge #9 are concerned about the national problem of missing children. In an effort to give parents and guardians peace of mind and a means to identify a missing child, a fingerprinting and identification kit are provided free of charge to individuals and civic organizations. This kit is self contained and may be completed at home by any adult with little effort and mess. The kit provides an inking strip for fingerprints, a location for a DNA sample (hair or fingernails), dental chart, scars or marks chart, emergency contact information and space for a current photograph.
