I have a cat named Mukki.  The naming process for the cat is a long story and not particularly interesting so I’ll skip that and note that Mukki’s name has evolved to just “Muck.” 

I moved to Mecklenburg County on January 3, 2006, in part because of its proximity to the coast and the mountains, both of which I grew up with in California.  I love to travel and explore my new home.  I’ve been all over this state and neighboring states.   Without fail, every time I return to the area and see the sign that says “Entering Mecklenburg County,” I say to my fellow travelers, “Welcome to MUCKlenburg County.”  Without fail, I am the only person in the car who thinks it’s funny.
