PARK AND RECREATION
CLOSES SOME BOAT RAMPS DUE TO LOW LAKE LEVEL 

Charlotte, NC – Low water levels in Lake Norman have forced the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department to CLOSE motorboat launch ramps at Blythe Landing and Ramsey Creek Park until further notice.  Sailboat launch ramps and other amenities, such as paddleboats and picnic areas, will remain open. 

·                    Blythe Landing: 15901 Highway 73, Huntersville, NC 28078

                  Hours of operation: 7:00am – dark 

·                    Ramsey Creek Park: 18441 Nantz Road, Cornelius, NC 28078

      Hours of operation: 7:00am – dark 

The low water levels are due to the shortage of rain in Mecklenburg County this year.  For additional information about these two parks, call Andre Eaves at 704-896-9808.
