WOMEN TO MODEL NEW CLOTHES AND
NEW ATTITUDES AT GRADUATION
Charlotte, NC - The right attitude and the right outfit can go a long way in the working world. More than two dozen clients of the Mecklenburg County Women's Commission have learned that and will soon have the opportunity to put it to good use on the job.
On Friday, October 18, 2002, the Women's Commission will present the Adventures In Attitudes ® class of 2002. The fourth annual graduation ceremony will be held 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Marion Diehl Recreation Center, 2219 Tyvola Road, Charlotte. The event will include a fashion show with graduates modeling their new clothes and new attitudes. The public is invited. Tickets are $15.
Thirty-five women are graduating from the Adventures In Attitudes program in 2002. Adventures In Attitudes is a three-day program offered two to three times a year by the Mecklenburg County Women's Commission. It includes training for women who need assistance re-entering or advancing in the workplace, focusing on single mothers or women who have been displaced from the home through divorce or other circumstances. The Mecklenburg County Women's Commission is a multi-service resource and counseling center for women.
