5TH ANNUAL CITY WIDE KWANZAA CELEBRATION

Charlotte, NC -  Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department and The Nubian Rootz  Cultural Center are sponsoring the 5th Annual City Wide Kwanzaa Celebration, December 26, 2002-December 31, 2002.  This annual celebration commemorates African heritage through 7 principles of building and sustaining family and community values. The 7 values are: Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith.
