As part of the Charlotte Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors Association's fall trade show, the Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal's Office will recognize 12 businesses that have completed the County's specialized training on carbon monoxide detection and response.
As part of Mecklenburg County's carbon monoxide (CO) ordinance and education campaign, the Fire Marshal's Office encourages residents to hire a service provider that has completed the training. As of October 2002, 12 contracting companies have completed the training course and possess the minimum required service equipment, qualifying as a homeowner resource on CO problems.
