WHAT'S YOUR PROPERTY REALLY WORTH?
FINAL PUBLIC FORUMS SCHEDULED FOR REVALUATION
Charlotte, NC - Mecklenburg County's residents have three final chances to attend a public forum to learn about revaluation and ask questions. The following public forums all begin at 7 p.m.
· Monday, November 11- 7:00pm: North County Regional Library, 16500 Holly Crest Lane
· Wednesday, November 13 - 7:00pm: Mint Hill Town Hall, 7151 Matthews-Mint Road
· Monday, November 18 - 7:00pm: Beatties Ford Road Branch Library, 2412 Beatties Ford Road
Mecklenburg County is currently analyzing all real estate, readjusting values for tax purposes. The revaluation process ensures all taxpayers pay their fair share of taxes, based on the current fair market value of their property. The new values will take effect in 2003.
At each forum, staff from Mecklenburg County's Office of Property Assessment and Land Records Management will make a presentation on the revaluation process. The presentation will include a video, handouts and a question-and-answer session.
