BACKGROUND/JUSTIFICATION: The presentation will highlight the processes in place for Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services to receive, screen, investigate and work with families involved in reported cases of abuse, neglect and dependency in accordance with applicable State and Federal statutes and best practices.
