NEW SOFTWARE STREAMLINES PROCESS TO APPLY FOR MECKLENBURG COUNTY GOVERNMENT JOBS
Charlotte, NC -If you have ever wanted to work for Mecklenburg County government, applying is about to get easier than ever.
Beginning tomorrow, Mecklenburg County's job listings will be posted at
www.CharMeck.org using a web-based software that allows potential applicants to skip sending a resume and simply fill out an online application. Those wishing to send a resume anyway can also clip and paste their resumes and send it in with the application. Applicants without computer access may visit the County's Human Resources Department on the 5th floor of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center at 600 East 4th Street for assistance with applying for current job openings or they may apply on-line at any branch of the Public Library of Charlotte-Mecklenburg at
www.CharMeck.org.
Applicants may also now apply for multiple job openings without having to re-enter their personal information. The job postings and application submittals will also occur in "real time," meaning there is no delay in when the jobs are posted and when hiring managers can consider them.
Susan Hutchins, Human Resources Director for Mecklenburg County, is excited about the change. "This software system will help us manage business processes from recruitment to retirement and will enable us to provide improved service to job applicants as well as to County employees and their managers." Self-service applications for employees and managers are scheduled for implementation later this year.
