“PLANT:” MAKE YOUR LAWN LOOK BEAUTIFUL THIS SPRING WITH LESS WATER, LESS WORK AND LESS WASTE
Charlotte, NC - Mecklenburg County Solid Waste Management has scheduled its spring composting and yard care workshops. Mecklenburg County sponsors these organic program workshops year round at locations throughout the County. Piedmont Landscaping & Naturescaping Training (PLANT) offers in-depth information on maintaining your yard in a manner that’s environmentally friendly, aesthetically pleasing, low maintenance and low budget.
Mecklenburg County residents can learn the basics of composting, grasscycling, toxicity reduction, Southern xeriscaping, soil testing and habitat. For only a few dollars, you receive four hours of hands-on instruction, a how-to manual and wire compost bin.
