FY04 BUDGET AND IMPACT HIGHLIGHTS COUNTY COMMISSION’S ELECTRONIC TOWN MEETING

Charlotte, NC – Mecklenburg County residents can learn more about how the recently adopted Fiscal Year 2003-2004 will affect County government and the services it provides during “Mecklenburg Forum Live, an Electronic Town Meeting,” tonight from 8 to 9 p.m.

The quarterly, live call-in television show will be simulcast on The Government Channel, Time Warner Cable 16 and WTVI, Time Warner Cable 5. Viewers can call live or email their questions to the Board of County Commissioners in the meeting chamber at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. 4th Street in Uptown Charlotte.

The program’s theme will be the County budget, with a special emphasis on how the changes will affect services and programs when it takes effect July 1, 2003.

To participate, citizens can call 704-336-6515 during the show, or email their questions at www.4citizenhelp.com. That website also provides details of the recently adopted budget.
