WHAT: Mecklenburg County Board of Elections will open Candidate Filing for the Democratic & Republican primaries to be held on September 27, 2005 for Mayor of Charlotte, Charlotte City Council At Large, and Charlotte City Council Districts 1 - 7. The non partisan offices that will be open for filing are Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board Districts 1 - 6 and Town Council for Cornelius, and Mayor and Town Council for the Davidson, Huntersville, Matthews, Mint Hill, and Pineville. Filing for these offices will close on August 5, at 12:00 Noon.
