Mecklenburg County is playing a large role in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Senior Games and the Spring Wellness Fair. The fair will be on Thursday, March 9, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m at UNC-Charlotte's Barnhardt Student Activity Center. The event is free to the public. The Wellness Fair features free health screenings by Carolinas Health Care System, medication reviews by pharmacists, informational displays and exhibits, entertainment, activity and craft displays, as well as door prizes and giveaways. Free parking is available in the West Deck. Coordinating agencies for the Wellness Fair are Centralina Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Senior Centers, Inc., Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services, and Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department.
