HOMELESS SERVICES NETWORK: MAKING PLANS TO CARE FOR THE HOMELESS
Charlotte, NC - A group of agencies, including Mecklenburg County, that focuses on helping the homeless, is about to begin a community-wide planning process for homeless care.
The Homeless Services Network (HSN) is hosting a meeting on Thursday, March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Hope Haven, 3815 North Tryon Street, Charlotte. The public and any organizations that provide homeless care, or who wish to apply for HUD funding this year, are encouraged to take part.
Applications for HUD funding are coordinated through the Homeless Services Network. For more information, call 704-336-7758.
The Homeless Services Network provides services to the homeless persons that range from initial intake, including outreach and assessment, to housing placement with or without supportive services. One of the early accomplishments of HSN was to develop a comprehensive catalog of available services and service providers for the homeless in Charlotte Mecklenburg. More than 15 agencies in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County participate in the Homeless Services Network.
