GOOD SPORTS SKILLS AND DRILLS DAY ON MARCH 18 PROMISES FUN FOR KIDS AND PARENTS INVOLVED IN MANY SPORTS
Charlotte, NC- Youngsters who play sports and adults who are coaches or parents are invited to the Sports Illustrated "Good Sports Festival" on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at the Steele Creek Athletic Association Complex, 13530 Choate Circle in Charlotte. The program runs from 9 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
This festival will feature clinics, demonstrations, and sports drills for youngsters in a variety of sports including baseball, softball, soccer, disc golf, lacrosse, track and field, plus various speed drills. Information will also be available for adults on sports medicine, strength training, health and fitness, the US National Whitewater Center, and coaching certification programs.
This whole festival promises to be fast-paced, fun, and beneficial to all who participate. The program is free. There will also be many free gifts and product giveaways for participants. This sports festival is sponsored by a partnership which includes Sports Illustrated, Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department, the National Recreation and Park Association, Dodge, and the Steele Creek Athletic Association.
