Charlotte, NC – October is nationally recognized as Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Domestic Violence Advocacy Council, led by the Mecklenburg County Women's Commission and local advocates, is focusing this year's events on child safety, men's involvement and how the church and domestic violence service providers can help each other.
