The first annual ACCEPT . . .WC (Adults Challenging Children Every Possible Time…We Can) Jazz Festival will feature Conversation Piece and Fred Wesley, a jazz musical icon, who has worked with musicians such Ike and Tina Turner, George Clinton, Parliament, Funkadelic, and the late James Brown. Wesley will perform in Charlotte’s inner city with locally acclaimed band Conversation Piece, along with a guest appearance by Tyrone Jefferson, featuring Ivan Hall.
Tickets are $5 for adults and free for youth 12 and under. Proceeds contribute directly to the success of ACCEPT . . . WC. This non-profit organization will provide academic enrichment programs intended to nurture student’s achievement through artistic expression.
