Mecklenburg County's Metrolina Recycling Center is turning into an art museum during November, showcasing the art of recycling.
The exhibit will feature work from national recognized sculptor David Edgar, who fishes neighborhood recycling bins for plastic bottles. From this material, the Charlotte resident has created "Creatures from the Plastiquarium™," an exhibit evoking images of tropical fish.
Edgar's work will be on display at the
Metrolina Recycling Center, 1007 Amble Drive in Charlotte. It will kick off with a free public opening November 14, 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., and will remain open through November 30.
