PARK AND REC EMPLOYEE DIES AFTER FALL 

Charlotte, NC – A Park and Recreation maintenance and operations assistant, Warren Thomas Tinner Jr., died Saturday after he was injured on the job Friday. Coworkers believe Tinner, a Park and Recreation employee for the last 10 years, fell from a ladder and hit his head in a storeroom at a Park and Recreation warehouse at 1203 Allegheny Street.  

Tinner, 54, was taken to Carolinas Medical Center where he underwent surgery for a head injury. He died Saturday at about 11 a.m. The accident was reported to the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) an hour after it occurred, as required by law, and OSHA officials are expected to conduct an official investigation.
