TEENS INVITED TO STAY “UP ALL NIGHT” FOR ACTIVITIES AT PHILLIP O. BERRY RECREATION CENTER, DEC. 19-20
Charlotte, NC – Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites teens, ages12-17, both boys and girls, to stay “Up All Night,” a night of fun and recreation at Phillip O. Berry Recreation Center, 501 South Bruns Avenue. This event runs from 6:30pm on Friday, December 19, 2008 until 8:00am on Saturday, December 20.
This will be a fun filled night of activities including bowling, drumming, Wii games, food, 3 on 3 basketball, and much more. No need for a sleeping bag. The array of activities will keep you active all night long! Activities directed and chaperoned by staff of Park and Recreation.

PARK AND RECREATION INVITES TEENS TO TRY ICE SKATING ON HOLIDAY BREAK WITH TRIP TO EXTREME ICE CENTER
Charlotte, NC – Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites teens on CMS holiday break, ages 12-17, to try ice skating on Wednesday December 31, 2008 on trip to Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, North Carolina. The trip will be by van from 10am to 3pm, with pick-up and drop-off at the parking lot of Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center, 800 East Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd (across from Blake Hotel on McDowell Street).
No experience with ice skating? No skates? No problem! The trip includes a skating lesson. Cost to participate is $10, which includes ice skate rental, group skating lesson, and snacks. Please bring a lunch.
