HEALTH DEPARTMENT OFFERS FREE MAMMOGRAMS
TO WOMEN WITHOUT INSURANCE

Charlotte, N.C. – The Mecklenburg County Health Department, in partnership with the Charlotte Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc., will provide free mammograms to women between the ages of 40 and 64 who have no health insurance.

Saturday, April 24, 2010
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Mecklenburg County Health Department

To make an appointment, call 704-432-4287.

Walk-ins will be welcomed to fill any open slots on a first come, first served basis.

Patrons will be asked to provide their local doctor’s name and location of any other mammogram screenings they have had. They are also cautioned not to wear perfume, deodorant or powder to their appointment.

A free breakfast and entertainment for children will be provided for women scheduled for mammograms.

Remember: Early detection is your best protection.
