Influenza season usually runs from about mid-October through early April. Although no major flu cases have been reported yet in Mecklenburg County, they will come. And the best way to protect yourself, and those around you, is to get a flu shot.

You can get one at your provider’s office, your local drug or grocery store, or the Mecklenburg County Health Department.

All residents over the age of six months are recommended to get a flu shot this year.
