Part of Four Mile Creek Greenway Closed for Construction
Part of the Four Mile Creek Greenway is being closed for construction of a new asphalt trail. Some restrictions will be in place through September.

Charlotte, NC—A section of Four Mile Creek Greenway will be closed July 28 through Sept. 20, 2010, for construction of an asphalt trail.  The section is at the Bevington entrance between Rae Road and Johnston Road near the bridge.  There will be no access to restrooms or water fountains during construction.
Construction of the trail will be handled by T. K. Browne Construction and Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities Department.

Four Mile Creek Greenway is part of the Lower McAlpine and McMullen Creek Greenway system.  The three greenways run 5.8 miles through south Charlotte and pass under Interstate 485.  They are composed of a variety of surface types including asphalt, gravel, and boardwalk.
