Starting this afternoon at 3 p.m., meetings of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) will stream live on the Internet.
Previously, only the board's twice-monthly regular meetings were broadcast live online, on The Government Channel, and Time Warner Cable 16, with rebroadcasts available on demand and on Channel 16.
The change means that live streaming will now include public policy workshops, the budget public hearing and upcoming budget workshops. Meetings that will broadcast live via the Internet include:
April 27, 2010 3 p.m. Special joint meeting with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education
May 5, 2010 6 p.m. Regular BOCC meeting
May 11, 2010 3 p.m. Budget/Public policy workshop
May 18, 2010 6 p.m. Regular BOCC meeting/Manager's recommended budget
