MARRIAGE LICENSE HOURS CHANGING AT
REGISTER OF DEEDS OFFICE

Charlotte, NC – Effective May 1, 2010, the Register of Deeds marriage license area will be open to serve the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Marriage applications will be processed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding County holidays. Marriage applicants should arrive by 4:30 p.m. in order to allow enough time to process and issue a license by 5 p.m.

To expedite marriage services, the Register of Deeds encourages customers to review necessary documents and download required forms at http://meckrod.manatron.com. Considerable time is saved if those forms are completed before coming into the office.
