The 570-page Mecklenburg County Fiscal Year
2012 Adopted Budget Book is published online as a convenient reference to the facts and figures that make up the $1.38 billion budget.
A new tabbed display of the book offers ease of navigation by section topic and the convenience of a click to turn pages. The book is offered as a portable document file (PDF) for download and printing, too.
Details about Mecklenburg County's revenues and expenditures can be found in the document that tells the story of how programs and services for residents get funded. Find out how the County's four Focus Areas fit into the budget:
Community Health and Safety;
Effective and Efficient Government;
Social, Education and Economic Opportunity and
Sustainable Community.
Also, as a companion to the budget book, the County offers several short videos with Management and Budget Director Hyong Yi explaining key topic areas. The videos can be accessed via a tab on the
budget book page.
