Community Grants
Applications Due March 31 for Nonprofits Seeking County Grant
Thursday, March 31, 2011, is the last day to apply for a Community Service Grant from Mecklenburg County. The deadline is 5 p.m.
Eligible nonprofits must offer services and programs to Mecklenburg County residents and meet other considerations such as having 501(c)(3) classification with the Internal Revenue Service.
Historically, the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners designates funds in the annual budget to finance the work of selected nonprofit agencies.

Access the online application; view video of the March 1, Information Session; or read more about Community Service Grants at the County’s official website. Click on the Community Service Grants box on the right side of the screen.

The County is looking for vendors who can provide services in the following areas:
• Improved high school graduation rates
• Train and place unemployed workers
• Prevent health risks and diseases
• Promote financial self-sufficiency

The grant award funding period is for Fiscal Year 2012, from July 2011 to June 2012.
