WHAT:  Charlotte Regional Don’t Drive Day. Use a clean commute (bus, carpool, telecommute, LYNX Blue Line, walk, bike or vanpool) to and from work.

WHEN: August 11, 2011 (all day)

WHERE: Charlotte region (Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Mecklenburg, Lincoln, Rowan, Union and York [SC] counties).

WHO:  Commuters who live or work in the Charlotte region.

Interesting Facts:

• Grand Prize is an Apple iPad donated by NC Air Awareness. Additional prizes were donated by REI, Duke Energy, Harris Teeter and Alta Planning + Design.
• Participants will save gas money, reduce traffic-related stress and improve local air quality.
