This issue features information on programs occurring in September, October and November, as well as major upcoming events such as the groundbreaking of Romare Bearden park in uptown Charlotte (Sept. 2) and Festival in the Park in Freedom Park (Sept. 23-25).
The Get Going Guide is posted as a PDF and linked to download from other County sites. The new format allows for fresher content in each issue as well as quicker access to program and event registration since it will be linked directly to E-Parks. And, for extra convenience, the Get Going Guide will be easy to download and save to your computer desktop for reference or printing.
The guide’s shift to an online-only publication has saved the County about $60,000 so far.
The winter 2011 issue will be available in November and will cover programs occurring in December, January and February.
