2011 Performance Report
3/1/2012
Each year County staff produce a publication of articles, photographs and graphics to help tell the story of progress made toward the long-term goals in the Community and Corporate Scorecard.
The Mecklenburg County Performance Report 2011 is available online and in print.

Overall, the theme of the Performance Report reflects the work to redesign and reshape County government
to best fit current resources after the economic effect of the Great Recession.

The Community and Corporate Scorecard is a tool used to depict the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners' vision for the community. The Scorecard includes 25 measurable goals. For fiscal year 2011, which covers July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011, the County achieved 53 percent green lights toward its goals. All services provided by Mecklenburg County are targeted toward these goals and are aligned to one of four focus areas

  • Community Health and Safety
  • Social, Education and Economic Opportunity
  • Sustainable Community
  • Effective and Efficient Government

In addition to a message from County Manager Harry L. Jones, Sr., some of the featured programs, services
