The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is conducting the 10th annual community survey of County services.
The County has contracted with an experienced local research firm, Marketwise, to survey approximately 900 Mecklenburg County residents. The survey will seek residents’ opinions on various aspects of Mecklenburg County’s services, including but not limited to:
• The value of County services provided.
• Public information services.
• Awareness of County services.
• Services available online.
• Services provided by the Park and Recreation Department, the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Library, the
Elections Office and more.
Using best-practice survey methodology, Marketwise will call households and cell phones using a random number generator and dial approach. The goal is to obtain a representative sample of Mecklenburg residents to establish with 95% confidence (+ or – 5%) that the results are reflective of Mecklenburg County’s overall population. At the conclusion of the survey, Marketwise will provide the data and other pertinent methodology information to OMB staff for analysis.
The survey findings will provide the Board, the County Manager and the community an indication of how well the County is performing in achieving the Board’s Community & Corporate Scorecard goals. The Board will receive a presentation of results this summer.
