The Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services’ Employment Transportation Services program will begin offering help with bus passes for qualified clients.

If the client is employed, or involved in employment related activities, and meets income guidelines, the program may be able to help with monthly bus passes.

Clients who think they may be eligible will need to fill out an application at the following locations during the given dates and times.  Applications will be taken at 301 Billingsley Rd (Kuralt Center) and 3205 Freedom Dr (Chapin Hall) between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Interviews will be conducted on a first come, first served basis.

You must have the following to apply:

• Valid government ID
• Last 30 days wages or
• Letter from job training class on their letterhead or
• Job

September 24, 2012—October 5, 2012
October 29, 2012—November 9, 2012
November 26, 2012—December 7, 2012
December 17, 2012—December 21, 2012
January 28, 2013—February 8, 2013
February 25, 2013—March 8, 2013
March 25, 2013—April 5, 2013
April 29, 2013—May 10, 2013
May 27, 2013—June 7, 2013
