Commissioners will receive a presentation on the proposed Red Line Regional Rail Project, an initiative that will upgrade an existing 25-mile section of the Norfolk Southern Railroad “O” Line in the North Corridor of the Metrolina region. The project will significantly improve the movement of both goods and passengers along this section of track running southward from Mooresville to Charlotte with the potential for future extension northward from Mooresville to Statesville.

The BOCC will also fill two vacancies on the Planning Commission.
