Charlotte Mecklenburg Library will upgrade their library catalog software on Jan. 16 and 17. Part of this upgrade will occur when libraries are closed on Monday, Jan. 16 for the Martin Luther King Day holiday. On this day, access to many remote services will be unavailable, including telephone renewal, access to customer accounts, and portions of the library catalog.
Libraries will re-open to the public on Tuesday, Jan. 17, with limited services. Customers will still be able to check out books and use public computers, but the Library won’t be able to issue new library cards. In addition, telephone renewal and access to many customer account services will remain unavailable and access to portions of the library catalog will remain limited.
No overdue fines will be charged during these two days.
The Library expects to return to normal service on Wednesday, Jan. 18. Customers can go to the Library's web site
www.cmlibrary.org for updates.
