MeckLINK was first accredited by URAC in 2009 under the Health Utilization Management, Network and Call Center Standards.

By receiving accreditation through URAC, the department is recognized as an agency that complies with national healthcare standards.

“I am very pleased that our department has received this recognition,” said MeckLINK Director Phil Endress.  “It is a reflection of the hard work contributed by our dedicated staff to ensure quality service to our customers.”

URAC is an independent, nonprofit health care accrediting organization dedicated to promoting health care quality through accreditation, certification and commendation.

MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare currently has an annual budget of $61 million, and oversees and monitors state and County-funded behavioral health services.  In 2013, MeckLINK will also begin managing Medicaid funding and authorization for behavioral health services for Mecklenburg County residents.
