The Board of County Commissioners will hold a public hearing to receive citizen input on the
County Manager's FY13 Recommended Budget on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Meeting Chamber of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center located at 600 East Fourth Street.

on-line here through Wednesday May 23rd. You will be instructed to leave your name and/or the names of others that will be joining you in speaking, your telephone number, the organization you are representing, if you are speaking on behalf of an organization, and/or the specific budget issue you would like to address. After May 23rd persons must sign up when they arrive at the meeting on May 24th. You are encouraged to sign up in advance, otherwise, your name will be placed at the end of the already existing list of speakers.
Time Allotment:
An organization represented by one person or an individual representing him or herself is allowed three minutes to speak. Each organization is allowed no more than four speakers with a time allotment of ten minutes total for the group. The Board reserves the right to alter these rules on a case-by-case basis as necessary for the efficient and effective conduct of business.
The Board of County Commissioners is scheduled to adopt a budget and set a tax rate at its Regular meeting on June 5, 2012. It will fund Mecklenburg County services to its residents for one year, beginning July 1, 2012.
