Supportive Housing Developments comprise affordable housing with comprehensive supportive services, which include new construction, rehabilitation and acquisition/rehabilitation. The intent of the joint Request for Proposal is to provide a collaborative and streamlined application and review process among the City, County and Housing Authority.
The following funding is available for Supportive Housing Developments for the FY2012 program year:
- City of Charlotte Housing Trust Fund Capital: $7.3 million
- Charlotte Housing Authority Operational Section 9 Subsidy: up to 300 units of section 9 subsidy across all approved projects.
- Charlotte Housing Authority Capital: Additional capital funds may be available through Housing Authority Moving to Work program.
- Mecklenburg County Supportive Services Funding Partnership: A partnership for partial support services funding and/or social work staff will be available for the RFP. Specific partnership details will be determined at a later date.

RFP Pre-submission Conference
Interested applicants are encouraged to attend the Pre-Submission Conference on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012. Funders will discuss common priorities and provide information about the application process.
