Volunteers Needed to Serve on the DNC Charlotte Green Team
8/23/2012
The DNC Charlotte Green Team is accepting volunteers through August 30 to help with recycling efforts during the week of the Convention, September 4-6.

Members of the Green Team will interact with and familiarize attendees with the recycling system and offer guidance as needed about how to properly dispose of items. Volunteers will serve as educational hosts and stand by an Eco Station, which is a three-bin station featuring recycling, compost and landfill bins, to help answer questions from attendees. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Each Green Team volunteer is required to serve a minimum of two shifts that are between 7 ½ and 8 ½ hours long. Volunteers are welcome to serve more than two shifts, but prior to committing yourself to these shifts, please ensure that your schedule allows you to fulfill both the temporal and physical demands of volunteering.

There will be a mandatory volunteer training session at the Convention Center the week prior to the Convention. In order to participate in the program, you must attend the volunteer training in person or the scheduled training webinars. Click here to register use the password “2012.” You will receive a confirmation email with additional details upon registration.

All volunteers should use public transit. There is no parking on site at the venue. All volunteers will check in at the Charlotte Convention Center first and then be directed to their work area. Volunteers will be able to walk or take public transportation to their work.
