The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is now accepting applications for funding of programs that serve at-risk and delinquent youth in Mecklenburg County. The $1,387,620 anticipated allocation will be provided for fiscal year 2014/2015.
The JCPC is seeking prevention-oriented programs for youths, and services and programs for moderate and high risk court-involved youths. Acceptable funding areas include mental health assessments/treatment, parenting programs, structured after school programs, substance abuse assessment/treatment, structured day programs, tutoring/academic enhancement programs, temporary out of home care, and more.
All applicants must demonstrate that their services/programs are evidence-based and highly effective with youths to receive funding consideration.
The deadline for applications is April 4, 2014. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will take place March 14, 2014, 3-4 p.m., in Room 528 of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center.
