Mecklenburg County Community Support Services and the Foundation for the Carolinas (FFTC) are jointly accepting proposals from agencies that provide service to homeless families in Mecklenburg County.
Funds are available from the FFTC’s A Way Home Housing Endowment Start-up Fund for rental assistance and supportive services, and from the County’s Housing Stability and Supportive Service Fund.
An information session is set for 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014 at the Hal Marshall County Services Center, 700 N. Tryon Street. The session will be in the Environmental Protection Boardroom on the 2nd floor. Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to attend.
The goal is to provide rental assistance and supportive services to homeless service providers and programs that support the goals of the Ten Year Plan to End and Prevent Homelessness. The FFTC will allocate $125,000 from its A Way Home Housing Endowment Start-up Fund. Mecklenburg County Community Support Services will allocate up to $200,000 for supportive services for one fiscal year with a one-year renewal funding depending on recipient performance, funding availability and the eligible population served.
