	New North Carolina DHHS Secretary Aldona Wos has told County Manager Harry L. Jones, Sr. that she will uphold last week's decision on who will manage the state's federal Medicaid program for Mecklenburg County's consumers.
Description1 That change was made by former acting Department of Health and Human Services Director Albert Delia on December 31st, his last day in office. At the Board of County Commissioners’ workshop on Tuesday, January 8, Jones will report Wos’ decision and provide options for the Board to consider. The Board’s public policy workshop will be held Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 3 p.m. in room 267 of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 East 4th Street in Charlotte. Wos informed Jones of her decision during a conference call early Monday morning. Jones says he believes the actions of the former acting secretary were contrary to state law.
