County Manager Harry Jones sent the following email to all County employees at 11:30 a.m. March 19:
To the Employees of Mecklenburg County:
You may have seen news media reports recently that speculate about my future as Mecklenburg County Manager. I want to assure you that my stated intentions have not changed. I plan to remain as County Manager until I retire in the last quarter of calendar year 2015. I recognize that speculation in the news media can be distracting. However, I also know you will be able to set aside such distractions as you continue to focus your attention on serving the citizens of Mecklenburg County.
